From: Leslie Taylor, iTEMA, Chief Health Officer of Preparedness and Response/Senior Liaison to American Red Cross
iTEMA signs memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the American Red Cross (ARC). The MOU emphasizes a working relationship between iTEMA and the American Red Cross in preparing for, responding to, and providing humanitarian aid to those impacted by disasters. Their mission states “The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.” The ARC is guided by seven fundamental principles: Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality with a vision statement which highlights their desire to build a strong network of volunteers, turning compassion into action.
iTEMA is excited to cultivate this recently formed alliance and looks forward to a mutually beneficial relationship providing coordinated preparedness and response to tribal nations.
